We describe laser as long-term hair reduction. Your skin contains many hair follicles — facial areas can have hundreds per square centimetre. Not all of these follicles are producing visible hair at once, and the type of hair a follicle produces can change. Hormones, especially androgens, can convert small, fine vellus hairs into larger, darker terminal hairs in certain areas. A course of treatments will significantly reduce unwanted hair growth, but maintenance may be needed as existing follicles can change or become more active over time.

The Soprano laser is much more forgiving than other lasers and can be used when you have tan, however we recommend avoiding fake tan the week of your laser appointment.

No. Waxing and plucking remove the hair from the root, which can interfere with your laser results. Shaving is the preferred method between treatments.

Yes, you should be shaved before treatment. Your therapist will let you know exactly how to prepare for your chosen area. If you require us to shave the area, we will need to book extra time and a $30 fee applies.

Before your appointment, avoid waxing, plucking, fake tan and excessive sun exposure. Please also let us know about any medications, health changes or skin concerns before treatment.

After treatment, avoid heat, saunas, spas, intense exercise, sun exposure, fake tan and active skincare on the treated area for the time advised by your therapist.
